Learn To Love Yourself To Live More Fully
COGNITIVE BALANCEEvery human being is born with the right to freedom and autonomy. We all have the right to decide our every action, but sometimes, the actions we do come from a lack of control. Since then, we easily fall into a state of anxiety and torment because we think we are the cause of other people's suffering. Because of the lack of self-love, there always seems to be a "war" going on inside of each person. On the one hand, we always try to make others happy, on the other hand, we always blame ourselves for what we have done.
In order to regain self-love and avoid making false judgments about ourselves, we need to merge freedom and autonomy and do what we think is best.
WHY DO WE NEED TO LOVE OURSELVES?“Love yourself” sounds easy, but if you were to be mistreated, would you choose to lash out against the people you think have hurt you? When you choose to act like this, you are afraid and feel unloved. At this time, love is the most effective "medicine". When you love yourself, you accept your weaknesses and forgive the past, then you begin to feel love from others more easily. When you do everything with self-love, you stop judging and become more empathetic towards others.
"Love is the ocean and your heart is a pitcher of water. Fill your water bottle first and the love will spread to everyone." - (Beau Taplin) Before filling your heart with love, you need to let go of the things that don't bring you peace. Have you ever felt great by arranging your room to be clean and bright? Your soul is the same, when the hidden corners are cleaned, your heart will be less heavy and dark. That's when you see life with different eyes and when you feel the love within yourself.
WHAT IS SELF-LOVE?You may think that you are inherently self-loving. In fact, self-love requires constant practice. It is not difficult for each person to be proud of his remarkable things. However, when the "loops" of bad habits appear, will you be angry, afraid, or will you be patient and tolerant with yourself to learn how to break this "loop".
You feel self-love only when you are you, and it is because of self-love that you strive every day to become the best version of yourself. However, you don't have to put yourself in a certain frame to force yourself to change. Sometimes, all you need to do is simply sit down and observe the thoughts and feelings that are bubbling up inside of you.
THE LITTLE THINGS THAT MAKE YOU LOVE YOURSELF MORE1. BE GRATEFUL Every day, write down at least 3 things that make you feel grateful. See each event that happens in your life as a “gift”. It could be an ideal parking spot, a moment when you enjoy the morning sun, or a cute feral cat showing up on your doorstep. Say thank you for the little things, be grateful for what you have instead of focusing on what you don't have. 2. BE PRESENT Our minds often wander from one thought to another. Without enough awareness, thoughts will make us spin in a matrix of anxiety and fear. One of the most effective ways to keep yourself present is to focus your attention on parts of your body. You can practice by focusing on your wiggly toes, on your chest, or on your breath. In this way, you will have fewer negative thoughts that separate you from self-love. 3. KNOW WHAT IS MOST IMPORTANT IN THE PRESENT When you're struggling with a decision, your brain will start taking old information about what happened in the past and applying it to your current situation. Usually, these are unpleasant experiences and will not bring you good results. Instead of clinging to stale, irrelevant data from the past, ask yourself: “What is best at this moment for me, given the situation I am in? ", "How should I live my true self?".
SPREAD THE LIGHT OF LOVE IN YOUSelf-judgements are really just masks we put on ourselves. Have the courage to look deep within to understand your true nature and find your inner peace. By loving yourself every day, you will begin to reconnect and discover yourself anew. You will tolerate and love your own imperfections and imperfections.
Each of us comes to this life for a reason and a mission. If the reason for your existence was love, how would you love and spread that love?
